Royal baby news!

We are expecting too! Michael Parkes Surveyors Ltd have a new surveyor due February 2022.

Meet Caprice who started an apprenticeship with us in and has just passed her 6 months’ probation.

Caprice went to Fort Pitt Grammar School for Girls in Chatham. She didn’t know what she wanted to do until her school put on a careers fair and she met Denise Ford, our Managing Director, who was there exhibiting and giving information about becoming a Chartered Surveyor. Caprice then proactively contacted us and offered to come in for a week for free to gain some work experience to see if it was something she liked. During that week she worked in our valuations department and enjoyed it.

Following further research, she spoke with Denise and agreement was reached that she could start work on the UCEM apprenticeship scheme which means she works for 4.5 years whilst doing a degree in Estate Management and taking her APC with the RICS.

Michael Parkes Surveyors Ltd have been delighted with her conscientiousness and thirst for knowledge. Caprice says she has enjoyed the first six months which has gone much quicker than she thought. She has been working mainly in Valuations but looks forward to working in our other departments which include Planning, Block Management, Commercial Agency and Commercial Property Management.
