We have a property management system provided to us by T&H Computer Services Ltd which we call PMS (property management system).
The features of the system include:-
• Rent collection and client accounting
• Service Charge budgeting and year end accounting
• Interest on late payments and rent reviews
• Lease details with automatic diarying
• BACS exporting
• Credit control letters
• VAT reports
• Tax reports
• Cashbook reconciliations
• Contractors database
• Image links for scanned documents such as agreements, inspection reports etc.
We are looking for someone to work 15 hours per week (flexible as to days and hours) to run this system and input the required data, so you will need to have some accounting experience.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, posting sales invoices, posting payments from tenants, stamping and coding invoices, making payments once authorised, calculating and posting interest, posting the budget, reconciling supplier statements, bookkeeping, reporting including P&L, balance sheet etc , getting to trial balance ready for accountants.
You will need to update our system with scanned documents such as our management agreements, leases, and inspection reports and update the diary system in conjunction with the property manager’s instructions.
We have a property manager here who produces the budgets for the management clients however you will be expected to input the information and raise the demands, chase arrears and provide accounts information and explanation to tenants, clients and our firm of accountants at year ends.
You will be expected to attend a training course in Birmingham (1 day) with our property manager to be trained on using this specific system.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with some property management and agency work as well. Depending on the time required to run the property management system, you may also assist the property manager in her day to day activities.
